Northern Ireland’s Declan Brennan is one of 8-ball pool’s hottest properties having claimed several significant titles within the sport in recent years.
‘The Destroyer’ enjoyed a dream start to life as an Ultimate Pool professional when he defeated Chris Melling 7-5 in the live televised final to win event one of the 2021 Pro Series.
On his way to the £10,000 top prize and the biggest accolade of his career to date, Brennan dropped just six frames in his first four matches, eliminating Shane Thompson, Josh Kane, John Roe and whitewashing Shaun Chipperfield 7-0 in the semi-finals.
Brennan's performances throughout the inaugural Pro Series campaign saw him end the season as the number three ranked professional.
Alongside countryman Ronan McCarthy, the duo narrowly missed out on winning the 2021/22 Ultimate Pool Pairs Cup title, being pipped in the final by Shaun Chipperfield & Karl Sutton via an epic 6-reds shootout. The de facto Team Northern Ireland had reached the final undefeated after winning groups in phases one and two, and then toppling pre-tournament favourites Michael Hill & Phil Harrison in the semi-finals.
