Reigning European Champion and a former Maltese Sportsman of the Year, Dejan ‘The Lionheart’ Grech roared during the inaugural Ultimate Pool Professional Series, finishing the season as the number 11 ranked player despite missing the final two events.
One of the sport’s hottest properties, Grech showed great commitment by travelling back and forth to the Pro Series and he was rewarded with several fine results.
The cueist from the city of Senglea reached the last eight in Event 3 and then enjoyed a fantastic weekend in October where he made the semi-finals of both Events 5 and 6.
Grech began playing pool aged 10 and incredibly just two years later was representing the Maltese Under-18 International side. He would go on to win two European Team Championships at under-23 level.
